 New things are happening at Skyline Poultry!  We will no longer be offering a store front.  Instead we will be offering daily specials of whats available at the time.  Example: Fertile Hatching Eggs, Chicks, Started Birds, Full Grown Birds and Custom Built Nesting Boxes.  Kind of like a Fresh Market.  We will list every morning between 5 A.M. and 9 A.M. Eastern Standard Time.  You can check daily to see whats available. It will be on a first come first serve basis.  Most of the items are time sensitive so they won't last long.  If your interested in a daily listed item you can contact skylinepoultry@gmail.com  to reserve your order and we will send out a Paypal invoice immediately.  The first person to do so will get that item listed for the day.

                        About Our Nesting Boxes
I've been a woodworker for over 25 years and have had a deep appreciation for fine art work.  So I figured why not build a hen a Nesting Box worthy of laying her precious eggs in. I've built prototype after prototype using every material imaginable. After years of tinkering with this I came up with suitable and affordable materials to use. Honestly the sky's the limit on what to use but sometimes the wallet can't afford the exotic lumbers that are available. And trust me, exotic woods can be very expensive but so beautiful when used.
Lets talk methods of construction. Theres alot of ways to join lumber together. You have Butt Joints, Lapped Joints, Mortise and Tenon Joints, Peg, Dowel, Biscuits, Dovetail, Tongue and Grove, ETC. You get the idea. Each one of these methods have there time frames of difficulty to assemble. It can be cumbersome to do complicated techniques especially if time is not on your side. And most of the time the effort it took to do a skilled technique is not appreciated if your an A to B person. Its in between those times that took it from A to B that needs to be noticed. In this day and time it's about mass production with robots and assembly lines and how fast can I get it. You have to love what you do and it will show in your work. Fine woodworking is an art thats not to be rushed. Do you want great craftsmanship or something thrown together? Its your choice. As with anything thats done in skill and labor there are wait times due to the methods of construction. I'm so sure of my craftsmanship that I'll be offering 1 YEAR WARRANTIES on all of our nesting boxes. Keep an eye on whats to come as we've only started to show a fraction of the varieties you'll have to choose from.
